Windsor Forest Colleges group is looking for a Summer Intern – Purchase Ledger to join our Finance team based at Berkshire College of Agriculture on 37 hours per week, fixed-term contract till 29th August 2025, Please note that this role pays £23,556.64 per annum which is equivalent to the National Living Wage of £12.21 per hour.
Summer Intern – Purchase Ledger
As an Intern in the Purchase Ledger team, you will play a vital role in managing the financial records of our college. Your responsibilities will primarily focus on maintaining accurate purchase ledger records, processing Supplier invoices, and outgoing payments in compliance with the college financial policies and procedures. You will work closely with the related stakeholders to ensure that suppliers are paid promptly and efficiently.
To be successful in this position you will need to have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal with the capability to adjust your tonality and language to suit stakeholders of many differing levels both across the College Group and externally.
The role involves extensive work both in Microsoft Excel and the Google Documents suite of software. As such, you are expected to have a good grasp of Data Recording, Data Organisation with filters and functions as well as the use of formulae including but not limited to Sum and Count. If you have any experience or familiarity with Open Accounts (Oa) then this is an advantage, but it is not essential to this position.
