Windsor Forest Colleges Group is looking for a Lecturer – Introduction to Construction to work within our Structural Technologies Department at Slough and Langley College. This full-time, permanent position pays on the academic pay scale (£31,133 - £44,841 depending on qualifications and experience) and is available with an ASAP start.
Lecturer – Introduction to Construction
The position of Lecturer – Introduction to Construction is required to possess a blend of practical and educational expertise. Delivering engaging, and effective lessons that make complex construction concepts accessible to students of varying levels.
Working closely with our Foundation Department and the employability skills team you will support students in gaining an understanding of construction and the various routes into the industry.
The Lecturer – Introduction to Construction will be teaching the Entry 3 Course: Preparation for Further Learning or Employment – Construction Pathway. In addition to delivering the compulsory unit, this course includes teaching modules on:
- First Steps into Construction
- Introduction to Bricklaying
- Introduction to Carpentry
- Introduction to Painting and Decorating
- Introduction to Plastering
- Introduction to Tiling
- Introduction to Plumbing
- Introduction to Health and Safety
We are looking for a candidate who has a suitable multi-trades qualification. Additionally, a recognised teaching qualification is desirable as is a TAQA assessors and verifiers certificate.
